Weekly Skinny: February 17th

I have good feelings about this spring. Something about Covid cases going down, temperatures getting warmer in the south, and starting a brand new job today has me feeling some type of way! I can’t believe that this time last year I was a senior in college and Covid was still pretty distant from our current reality. I was stressing out finding a job, worried about a relationship, and scared out of wits when it came to graduating college. It’s crazy how 365 days can change a person (and the entire planet) so much. Not all changes have been bad though, like I said, I have good feelings. Since I’ve last shared a Weekly Skinny update, I’ve discovered lots of new and exciting finds. Take a look!

Threshold Spring Candles – Since the the middle of January I’ve only had eyes for spring. I’m over winter and puffy jackets, and after seeing the state of Texas this past week, I’m sure most of you are too! I want to wear jean shorts, my favorite sandals, and sit on my balcony. In lieu of my springy mindset, I’ve only purchased fruity and floral scented candles and the Threshold collection from Target has the best ones. The flavor combinations range from white tea, to persimmon and peony, to teakwood and beyond. The scent notes vary, but all make you shifts gears in your mind towards spring. All candles have great packaging and are only $10.

Steve Madden Taryn Boots – In the search for a new pair of black boots to wear out and about, I found these patent leather Steve Madden boots at Nordstrom on sale and had to snap them up. Although I was on the hunt for a pair of back boots, these camel boots are still a great neutral and are the perfect heel height. I wore them all Friday night and they’re very comfortable to walk in. They come in three colors and I sized down half a shoe size.

Taylor Swift’s Emotional Roller Coaster Playlist – After the queen herself started releasing re-recorded music this past week, I knew it was time I listen to every Taylor Swift song and add my favorites into one emotional rollercoaster of a playlist. This playlist is over four hours long and takes you through her debut album all the way up to her current Evermore persona. Happy listening!

Adidas Continental 80’s – I recently refreshed my sneaker game – which can be found here – with a pair of pink and white Adidas Continental 80’s. Although they’re not as popular as a Veja sneaker or an Air Force One, this comfortable pair of sneaks adds a vibrant, yet subtle pop of pink to my spring style and cost me less than $50. I purchased them in my true size and absolutely love how they look with easy sundresses and jeans!

Perfect bodysuit ON SALE – In a quest to find a few new bodysuits for nights out with my girlfriends, I found this perfect satin high-neck bodysuit from Abercrombie of all places. This perfectly chic and ultra flattering bodysuit is on sale and comes in three colors: black, white, and forest green. It has a beautiful satin bow to tie around your neck and leaves the back open for a very flattering silhouette. I purchased it in my true size!

Tomato Vine Candle – I didn’t realize there was a difference between a living room candle and a kitchen candle until I walked into Anthropologie last weekend. This tomato vine candle smells amazing – like you’ve just walked to your backyard to water your garden. It not only smells fresh and so lovely, but it reminds me of my mom’s garden which makes it that much more essential in my home.
